Don was happiest tending his garden and spending time with his family and friends. His big heart encompassed everyone he met, and he always made you feel loved, no matter what. Born in Newark, NJ., his parents were Ernest Frederick Gregor, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his son, Ernest F. Sergeant Major Gregor was a retired E-9 for the United States Marine Corp and a member of the Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Mary Outlaw Gregor, of Waynesville; 5 daughters and sons-in-law, Sandi Lee Cavanaugh (Joe), of Beaufort, S. C., and Louis Bailey, Sr.(Vicki), of the Atkinson Community; 7 grandchildren, Rachelle Shelly Cheslak (Ryan), Bryan Cavanaugh (Kimberly), Christopher Bonnell (Alex), Mallorie Bonnell, Louis Nathan Bailey, Jr., Joseph Stone Bailey, and Nathan Ernest Bailey; 3 great grandchildren, Sawyer Cheslak, Easton Cheslak, and Beauregard Beau Cavanaugh.
He was a Marine drill instructor and a retired Marine Captain forv22 years, serving during Vietnam, a member of the Tri State Marine Corps., the Mustang League, retired from Neal Industries, and a Methodist by faith. He spent most of his younger years in Hilo until he joined the National Guard.
He is survived by his wife Rita Lyons Mawhinney Mossor, his son William Albert Mossor Jr and his wife Joanie of Irwin PA, two step sons John Mawhinney and his wife Tammy of Hickory, PA, Douglas Mawhinney and his wife Yolanda of Henderson, NV, three daughters Pamela Mossor of Beaver Falls, PA, Patricia Mossor of Steubenville, OH, Janet Werner of Thompsontown, PA and a step daughter Susan Goodwin of Masontown, WV, a brother Lawrence Dean Mossor and his wife Diane of Wintersville, OH, a sister Judy Berdine of Weirton, WV, nine grandchildren, four step grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, and loving friends Denise and Rick Thorn of Chester, WV. Gene was born on April 22, 1943 in Annapolis to the late Walter and Mary Fletcher. He completed his high school diploma while stationed in Okinawa Japan.
