Album art not updating
Still I prefer the default Music app although I have now switched to foobar2000 due to this problem.
If you use Windows Media Player 12 in Windows 7, you may notice some of your media is missing information when displayed in the library.
I tried putting a file in the folder, also naming it after the artist and album, deleting all music from the SD card and putting it back and nothing has worked, can't find anything else online so I thought I might find some help on here. Thanks in advance numinous510 On every Android device I've used, and regardless of the music player, album art has been expected to be tucked into the same folder with the tracks.
It has never been separated out into a folder of its own (that is unless the player happens to build one behind the scenes, but if it does the album art should still exist in the source folders for doing so).
If you find a correct match for your media file, click to select it and click Next.
You’ll be prompted to confirm your selection, then click Finish.
This is something of a long shot but try removing your micro SD card, mount it in a Windows PC, and run chkdsk on it.
Apps menu and open up the entry for the Samsung Music app, if you scroll down to 'App details', open it and there should be some reference to 'Last updated...' Was there any update to the app around the time when it stopped showing your album art?
It says last updated on July 17 2018 so that can't be the problem, since I have this phone since October.
Choosing Your Own Cover Art If your media file doesn’t pull the proper cover art, or if you simply wish to find a different image, you can add your own. An ideal size would be around 300 x 300 pixels, give or take. You’ll need to switch to Expanded title (if you haven’t already) to paste the image.
Paste your new image by right-clicking on the current image and select Paste album art.
